Job Description
Our Client is a well established Douglas-based organisation that offers a comprehensive suite of accountancy and wealth management services to enable clients to grow, manage and preserve all facets of their financial affairs through cross-border resources and expertise-led solutions. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Senior Accountant to join an established team.
Reporting to the Accounts Manager and Directors, the Senior Accountant will:
* Collaborate within the team to manage a diverse portfolio
* Supervise and support team members where required
* Prepare and review financial statements for small to medium-sized companies in line with IFRS 102 Section 1A
* Oversee bookkeeping for client structures
* Ensure timely delivery of financial statements to clients
* Respond to client queries regarding financial statements
* Prepare and review management accounts
* Prepare and review VAT returns for client structures
* Support UK / IOM statutory reporting requirements
* Constructively challenge existing systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and client experience
* Undertake additional duties or projects as required
The ideal candidate for the role of Senior Accountant will have:
* Be ACCA or ACA qualified, or qualified by experience
* Good A Levels or equivalent
* Proven accounting experience at a senior level
* Ability to actively prioritise and manage workload
Desirable:
* Experience with owner-managed businesses is preferred but not essential
* Understanding of Isle of Man legislation and systems
* Understanding of UK Tax legislation
* Experience with CCH and LaserficheBefore You Apply
