Senior Accountant - Part-Qualified / Qualified
Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire | £45,000 - £55,000 + Excellent Benefits

An innovative and forward-thinking accountancy firm based in Henley-on-Thames, Oxford is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their friendly and established accounts team on a full time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) who is passionate about providing exceptional service and building strong client relationships.
The successful Senior Accountant will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including HNWIs, SMEs, and large corporations, offering strategic advice and hands-on support to help them achieve their business objectives.
Accounts Senior Job Overview
Preparation of year end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
Assist with the development and training of junior members of the team
Liaising with clients on queries, either over the phone, via video call or face to face
Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
Daily bookkeeping and preparing and filing monthly and quarterly VAT returns under all types of VAT schemes
Preparing accounts under FRS 102Accounts Senior Job Requirements
- AAT qualified and a minimum of part-qualified ACA / ACCA - study support available!
- A minimum of 2 years hands on experience in a UK based accountancy practice
- Hands on, diligent and able to demonstrate excellent client interpersonal skills
- Excellent accounts software experience, ideally with CCH, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and Alphatax, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Based locally to Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire
Accounts Senior Salary & Benefits
£45,000 - £55,000 dependent on skills and experience
Early mid-afternoon finish every Friday!
Full ACA/ACCA study support if required
Flexible and hybrid working arrangements including flexitime and working from home following a successful probation.
Discretionary annual bonus
23 days annual leave, + 8 bank holidays, increasing by 1 day per year post qualified up to a maximum of 28 days
