Senior Accountant
Huddersfield
£35,000 - £39,000 (DOE)
Permanent, Full-Time
Study support, 24 days holiday + stats, flexible working hours, progression available
Stafflex are proud to be working with an established and reputable accountancy firm based in Huddersfield to recruit a Senior Accountant on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of clients while supporting junior team members and contributing to the ongoing success of the practice. Ideal for someone looking to progress their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and submission of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Completion and filing of personal and corporation tax returns
Reviewing and supporting work from junior staff (including a Semi-Senior)
Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong working relationships
Ensuring compliance and timely submissions across all work areas
Key Requirements
Minimum of 3 years' experience working within an accountancy practice
ACCA or ACA qualified, part-qualified, finalist, or qualified by experience
Strong working knowledge of personal and corporate tax
Comfortable managing a high turnover and varied client base
Familiarity with systems such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is desirable
Local to Huddersfield or able to reliably commute
