Key Responsibilities:
* Lead initial client meetings, manage onboarding processes, and ensure ongoing compliance with statutory filing requirements
* Provide expert advice, handle client queries, and maintain strong, long-term relationships
* Collaborate with the wider team, which currently includes an Assistant Accountant, Bookkeeper, and Payroll Manager - and provide cover where needed
* Travel to Derby office and other regional offices as required
Day-to-Day Duties Include:
* Preparation and review of personal and company tax returns
* Production of year-end accounts for a variety of clients
* Oversight of VAT returns completed by the Assistant Accountant
* Delivering business advice and consultancy services
* Conducting client meetings and providing exceptional customer service
* Supporting clients with Xero setup, training, and migrations
* Managing client workflows, tasks, and deadlines
* Handling queries and resolving any complaints promptly and professionally
What We’re Looking For:
* A qualified accountant preferably with experience of working / qualifying in a practice
* A self-starter who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
* An open-minded and approachable individual with a passion for delivering five-star customer service
* Someone ready to grow with us - with future opportunities to build and lead your own team
You will be provided with a salary of up to £50,000, dependent on experience, with a bonus, pension, health insurance, professional subscriptions. Company also offers a relaxed and friendly working environment.
