Senior Accountant
Location: Windhof Koerich, Luxembourg (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Salary: Circa €70,000 plus benefits
We are partnering with a leading technology company based in Luxembourg to recruit a Senior Accountant. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the month-end close process for assigned regions, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting including income statements, revenue recognition, balance sheets, cash flow, and variance analysis with detailed commentary.
Perform thorough variance analysis against budget and prior periods, delivering actionable insights.
Manage and mentor a finance team of two direct reports, overseeing workload, development, and performance appraisals.
Coordinate audit activities, liaising with external auditors and assisting in tax return preparation and reconciliations.
Monitor KPIs and generate management reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Commercial, and Operations to enhance financial performance and compliance.
Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
Assist in developing and refining financial policies and procedures to drive efficiency.
Partner with HR to guarantee timely and accurate payroll processing.
Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations and identify potential risks or opportunities.
Support ERP and business system implementations and upgrades.
Contribute to budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
Provide ad hoc analysis and support to the Financial Controller, EMEA Accountant, and EMEA Controller as needed.
Candidate Profile:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
Strong technical accounting skills with experience in multi-entity or international organizations.
Proven leadership experience managing small teams.
Proficient in Excel and ERP systems, with exposure to system implementations preferred.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience in the technology sector is a plus.
