Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading environmental consultancy in their search for a Senior Air Quality Consultant to join their growing team in Chester. The Role
As a Senior Air Quality Consultant based in Chester, you will:
Lead air quality assessments across sectors such as waste management, dust management and quarries.
Analyse data, prepare emissions inventories, and undertake dispersion modelling using industry-standard tools.
Provide clear, strategic advice to clients on policy, legislation, and best practice.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop practical, sustainable solutions.
Mentor and guide junior consultants, contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture.
Prepare high-quality technical reports and present findings to clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
Stay up to date with evolving regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
Essential:
Degree in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
5-7 Years experience as an Air Quality Consultant, Currently operating as a Senior Air Quality Consultant.
Proficiency with AA Air Quality software or similar modelling tools.
Solid knowledge of UK air quality regulations and guidance.
Strong project management skills and experience delivering work to time and budget.
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Drivers LicenseDesirable:
Membership of IAQM, CIWEM, or similar professional body.
Postgraduate qualification (MSc/PhD) in Air Quality, Environmental Management, or related discipline.
Business development or client relationship management experience.
