ROLE OVERVIEW An exciting opportunity for a Senior Analytical Development Scientist to join a leading organization within the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, based in Northern Ireland. This role offers the chance to work within a dynamic, scientific environment focused on advancing human health through innovative drug development and formulation. You will be part of a specialized team, contributing to the development, optimisation, and validation of analytical methods essential for pharmaceutical manufacturing, ensuring compliance with GMP standards. This position provides a hands-on laboratory experience, working on small molecules and peptides, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality data to support project progression. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Your duties as the Senior Analytical Development Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: Develop, optimise, and validate analytical methods including HPLC, UHPLC, and GC, primarily for API manufacturing. Conduct degradation studies to assess stability and quality of pharmaceutical compounds. Troubleshoot analytical techniques and laboratory issues to maintain assay accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate closely with Process Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to support project timelines. As the Senior Scientist you will contribute to ensuring GMP compliance and deliver robust data for regulatory and internal purposes.ROLE REQUIREMENTS To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Senior Analytical Development Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history: A Degree or higher level in an Analytical/Chemistry related discipline or equivalent industry experience. Proven experience working within a laboratory environment, particularly focusing on method development, validation, or troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques such as HPLC, UHPLC, GC, and degradation studies.
