Job Description
Job Title:: Senior Approved Electrician
Location: Wymondham
My client offer expert electrical services for a wide range of commercial spaces, covering maintenance, repairs, installation and testing.
And work in the power generation sectors, including renewables, oil & gas, the process sectors, mining sectors and defence, as well as providing high technology support and solutions for all rotating electrical machines, control & protection systems, and power electronics.
They operate in the following environments
Retail
Industrial/Commercial
Schools
Solar PV/ Car Charging
Agricultural
Historical
Testing
The role will include the following:
Installation design where required.
Quoting for both small and large installations in the above environments.
Liaising with suppliers to place orders as necessary for jobs
Ensuring stock is here on time for the job to start
Liaising with UK Power networks where applicable
Managing 7 qualified engineers and 3 apprentices
Manage jobs to ensure smooth running
Allocating engineers and apprentices to the work schedules
Dealing with and managing customers
Health & Safety management with MD
Staff training
Sign off test certificates as QS
Involvement in invoicing process
Essentially a management role.
Candidate requirements:
Fully qualified, C & G 2391 – Approved electrician
Demonstrated experience in quoting, staff management, job management, Health and Safety
Experienced in the range of services we offer
Excellent communicator
Able to deal with conflict when required
Able to consider and resolve issues with staff, the job, the customer.
Flexibility
“Can do” positive attitude.
Basic terms: office based with vehicle to travel as required, fuel card, hours 8 to 5, 1 hour for lunch, 20 days plus Bank holidays, salary neg, package up for discussion.
