Are you an experienced Architect ready to take the next step in your career? Our client, an award-winning design consultancy based in Surrey, is seeking a Senior Architect to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
About the Employer
This well-established consultancy delivers architectural and structural design services across sectors, with a particular reputation for excellence in Transport Hub design, including stand-alone schemes as well as infrastructure within larger developments. Their client base spans both commercial and public sector markets, working alongside major contractors and delivering projects at all RIBA stages.
Their portfolio also includes healthcare, industrial, and commercial projects, offering a broad and stimulating workload for the successful candidate. While experience in transport or healthcare isn’t essential, you’ll bring proven delivery of medium-to-large scale non-domestic projects.
The Role
As a Senior Architect, you’ll lead project design from concept through to completion, coordinating with internal teams, external consultants, and clients. You’ll contribute hands-on at every stage, ensuring quality, innovation and client satisfaction.
The role is ideal for someone confident in a client-facing capacity, capable of working collaboratively while also mentoring junior team members. You’ll be supported to grow within the company—with a clear pathway to Associate level as the architecture team expands.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead architectural design and project delivery across all RIBA stages
* Coordinate with structural, MEP, and software development teams
* Manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement
* Oversee integration of design solutions using Revit (desirable) and AutoCAD
* Contribute to value engineering and technical innovation
* Support the development of junior architects and technicians
Ideal Candidate:
* Strong architectural design and project management skills
* Excellent communicator with experience in client-facing roles
* Experience across RIBA stages on non-domestic, mid-to-large-scale projects
* Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit skills are a plus, with training available)
* Keen interest in learning about Transport Hub design
* Degree-qualified in Architecture or a related field
* Collaborative, professional and culturally aligned to a non-hierarchical, hands-on team
What’s On Offer:
* Competitive salary based on experience
* Clear career development with opportunity to fast-track to Associate
* Supportive working culture – no long hours expectation (9am–5:30pm)
* Exposure to high-profile projects with major UK contractors
* Opportunity to develop Revit skills in a nurturing environment
* Work in a company with award-winning innovation and strong industry reputation
