We're working with a dynamic and well-respected multidisciplinary consultancy undergoing exciting growth. With a diverse pipeline of complex, high-value projects across sectors-including commercial, heritage, residential, and public realm-they are now seeking a Senior Associate Building Surveyor to take a pivotal role in project leadership, client development, and team mentoring.
The Role:
As a Senior Associate, you will be a key figure in both delivery and strategy. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, build trusted client relationships, and help shape the direction of the Building Surveying team in Leeds.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end project delivery across multiple sectors
Provide strategic oversight on feasibility studies, technical due diligence, and contract administration
Deliver expert surveys and reports, including on historic and complex buildings
Take full accountability for programme, budget, and client engagement
Guide and mentor junior and mid-level surveyors
Contribute to team leadership and the development of service lines
Support and lead business development initiatives, including bid writing and client presentations
Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation (including CDM, Party Wall, Building Regs)Requirements:
You are a confident, commercially astute Building Surveyor with a track record of delivering excellence at senior level. You're comfortable leading large-scale projects, nurturing client relationships, and making a wider contribution to the growth of a business unit.
Degree-qualified in Building Surveying
MRICS chartered (or able to demonstrate significant senior-level experience)
Strong technical knowledge of both traditional and modern construction
Proven leadership in project delivery, reporting, and contract administration
Deep understanding of JCT contracts and statutory compliance
Confident communicator and team leader
Experience in business development or strategic growth activity
Experience with heritage/conservation buildings would be idealBenefits:
