Travel to London required for a monthly all staff meeting and client meetings as required.
Senior Associate Employment Solicitor Responsibilities:
* Provide legal advice and all aspects of employment law including employee relations, TUPE, employment contracts and settlement agreements.
* Advise clients on HR and workplace issues.
* Provide advice and guidance on company restructures, consultations and redundancies.
* Draft contracts of employment, policies and procedures in accordance with current UK employment law and regulations.
* Draft settlement agreements for employers, and review and advise on settlement agreements for individuals.
* Advise and represent clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings.
* Assist clients with dispute resolution, and promote the mediation services offered.
* Build strong relationships with clients through provision of expert advice and clear communication.
* Attend client meetings in person and via Teams.
* Maintain accurate records on case management and time and billing systems.
* Maintain CPD and ensure a full understanding of developments in employment legislation and keep informed of recent case law.
* Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives e.g. attend networking events, regular posts on LinkedIn, client seminars and training events.
Senior Associate Employment Solicitor Skills & Experience:
* Qualified Solicitors in England & Wales with min 6 years PQ experience in employment law.
* Ideally but not essentially, experienced in contentious and non-contentious law.
* Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
* Attention to detail with a high degree of analytical thinking.
* Sound Office 365 skills and competent user of case management and time and billing systems.
* Strong client relation skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence and commercial awareness.
* Must be a confident and enthusiastic team player, adept at working remotely and collaborating with colleagues using modern communication tools e.g. Teams, WhatsApp.
