Senior Bid Manager
Hybrid – Home & Hatfield
£80,000 - £85,000 Basic + Electric Car / Car Allowance (£5,000) + Bonus + Healthcare + Life Cover + Pension
On offer is the opportunity to join a leading Tier One Contractor who provides a range of regeneration, refurbishment and retrofit projects for the Social Housing sector. Enjoy working in this autonomous Senior Bid Manager role reporting into a Head of Bids that takes pride on bidding strategically as opposed to the scattergun approach. This Senior Bid Manager role will entail management of the full bid lifecycle of complex bids, typically one or two bid at a time, taking the bid all the way from conception to submission. An exciting opportunity for someone looking for a stable bidding role, with freedom, flexibility and an identified team around them.
Key Duties:
* Planning, drafting, writing, and coordinating question responses
* Driving the capture and planning phase of each bid
* Manging a range of stakeholder input including business development, operations, commercial, H&S, sustainability, social value, and legal
* Identifying best practice in bidding and making sure we continually improve
* Visiting operational sites and other offices to gather information and improve our evidence library
* Maintaining quality strike rate and achieving our internal bid Service Level Agreement
* Enriching our bid library with active knowledge management, ensuring all lessons learned are fed back and implemented
* Researching the ways that we can improve bid content
Experience Required:
* Tier One or Main Contractor competitive tendering within the public sector (ideally with social housing experience)
* Experience bidding on refurbishment / regeneration / retrofit contracts
* Previously Bid Manager / Bid Writer experience
* Can manage the entire bid process in collaboration with a range of internal and external stakeholders
* Willing to travel to Hatfield up to 2 days a week, as well as occasional site visits around the South of England
