The role
As Senior Bid Writer, you’ll take the lead in producing high-quality, strategic tender submissions that win work and set the company apart. Working closely with the Bid Director and wider team, you'll shape win themes, collaborate with technical experts, and drive continuous improvement across all written content.
In short, you will:
* Lead and write compelling responses to quality questions in tenders and presentations.
* Collaborate with internal teams to gather content and insights.
* Research client strategies and tailor submissions accordingly.
* Develop and maintain case studies and bid collateral.
* Mentor other writers and support team development.
* Contribute to post-submission reviews and continuous improvement.
About you
You’re a confident writer and strategic thinker with experience in managing bids from start to finish. You’ll bring:
* Proven experience in bid writing and coordination.
* Excellent writing and communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* The ability to work independently and under pressure.
* Sector knowledge in civil engineering or highways.
