About the Role
A consultancy is seeking a Senior BIM Co-ordinator to lead the production of Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, and Builderswork layout drawings and schematics, using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. The role involves coordinating with multiple disciplines to deliver fully integrated project models from design through to construction and As-Built stages.
Key Responsibilities
Produce M, E, and PH construction issue drawings to project requirements.
Develop builderswork opening details and layout drawings in compliance with firestopping specifications.
Review Stage 4 information and raise RFIs for any discrepancies or errors.
Collaborate with specialist sub-contractors to create fully coordinated models.
Prepare drawings or sketches to resolve design and coordination issues.
Ensure compliance with BIM standards and protocols.
Provide timely, cost-effective solutions to coordination challenges on site.
Highlight any issues, including financial or buildability concerns, arising from updated design information or contractor submissions.
Work with the project team to develop consultant design drawings through to construction issue and As-Built stages, incorporating technical submittal information into the Revit model.
Attend meetings with architects, consultants, and other trades to resolve clashes within federated models and address design issues.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience producing MEP construction issue drawings.
Strong proficiency in Revit.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
Strong organisational and IT skills, including familiarity with CDEs and working within agreed file structures.
Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple sites.
