Senior Business Development & Estimating Manager – Electrical Contractor Location: Hybrid Role preferably in Yorkshire or Teeside area Salary: Excellent Package + Performance Bonus + Car Allowance About the Role We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established and ambitious electrical contractor that delivers high-quality installations across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. As part of their growth strategy, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Business Development & Estimating Manager to help drive expansion, lead tendering activity, and develop long-term client relationships within the construction industry. The Position This senior role combines strategic business development with estimating and tender management. The successful candidate will use their construction network to identify and secure new opportunities, oversee the preparation of tenders, and play a central part in shaping the company’s commercial success. Once projects are won, they will be handed over to the delivery team, with ongoing client engagement maintained throughout. Key Responsibilities: * Lead business development activity, targeting main contractors, developers, and key construction clients. * Build and nurture long-term client relationships to generate repeat business. * Prepare, manage, and submit tenders and bids for electrical packages. * Develop pricing strategies and ensure accurate, competitive estimates. * Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain cost data and technical input. * Work with senior management to influence business growth and market positioning. * Support seamless handover of projects to the operations team. Candidate Requirements: * Strong background within the electrical contracting or wider M&E sector. * Proven experience in both business development and estimating/tendering. * Established network of contacts across the construction industry. * Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and communication skills. * Confident and self-motivated, capable of working independently at senior level.
