Senior Business Development Manager / telecommunications /telcomms / broadband
My client is seeking a results-driven business development leader to drive revenue growth and expand market share in the education broadband sector. You will lead and mentor a team of up to 12 sales and support staff, balancing commercial objectives with the company’s mission to serve schools across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver strategic sales plans aligned with company goals.
* Drive new business opportunities and strengthen long-term client relationships.
* Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team.
* Oversee the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
* Monitor performance, manage budgets, and report on KPIs.
* Stay ahead of industry trends, DfE requirements, and competitor activity.
About You
* Significant experience in senior business development/sales leadership, ideally in telecoms, broadband, or education/public sector.
* Proven record of exceeding revenue targets and managing successful teams.
* Strong strategic, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
* Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership abilities.
* Skilled in CRM and data-driven sales management.
Desirable
* Experience in EdTech or education technology.
* MBA or advanced business qualification.
