My client, a highly respected care provider, is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join their dedicated team. They specialise in providing high-quality dementia care within a safe and secure setting.
The home offers a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where residents are encouraged to live with independence and dignity. The care team works closely with each individual to ensure their choices, interests, and personal preferences are respected. Relationships with family and friends are actively encouraged, and a rich programme of activities supports residents in staying engaged and fulfilled.
Requirements of the Senior Care Assistant Role:
* Excellent communication and written skills
* Previous experience as a senior care assistant, ideally in a care home setting
* NVQ3 or higher in Health & Social Care
* Medication Trained
Senior Care Assistant Responsibilities:
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will take a key role in supporting residents, mentoring staff, and ensuring high standards of care and documentation are maintained at all times. Responsibilities include:
* Support residents with personal care, promoting dignity and independence
* Lead and supervise care staff, ensuring compliance with CQC standards
* Liaise with GPs, healthcare professionals, and families
* Administer medication and assist with care plans and risk assessments
* Deliver high-quality, person-centred care
* Maintain knowledge of CQC guidelines, safeguarding, and DoLS
