Senior Care Assistant – Bloxwich (Job ref – PK62827)
Our client in Bloxwich, Walsall is an established Residential Care Home which provides person-centred care for up to 50 residents in a comfortable and supportive environment. They are rated Good in all areas in their most recent CQC report and a part of a supportive, independently-owned care company.
The Care Home is well served by bus routes with a bus stop right outside, and also offers free on-site parking. They now have an exciting opportunity for Senior Care Assistants to join their passionate team of Carers and Senior Carers.
Senior Care Assistant pay rates starting at: £12.80+ per hour with Paid Breaks! (Equivalent to £13.96 with unpaid breaks)
These are full or part time, permanent roles working 12 hour shifts; 24, 36 or 48 hours per week depending on your preference. Both Day and Night shifts are available working 8-8.
Requirements of the Senior Care Assistant role:
* Senior Care Assistants with previous experience working within care as a Senior
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (Preferred but not essential)
* Previous experience of working with the elderly
* Medication training
Responsibilities of a Senior Care Assistant:
* Administer medication
* Work collaboratively within a team of other Care Assistants and Senior Carers
* Liaise with all visiting professionals including GPs, other healthcare professionals and families.
* Helping to run the shift, hands on supporting the floor.
