Your Role & Impact
As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll play a vital leadership role-supporting the wellbeing of our residents while guiding and mentoring junior team members. Working closely with our management team, you'll ensure each individual receives personalised, high-quality care with dignity, empathy, and respect.
What You'll Do:
Support residents with personal care, mobility, and emotional needs
Lead shifts confidently and provide hands-on guidance to colleagues
Contribute to and review person-centred care plans
Carry out and update risk assessments
Administer medication safely and accurately
Liaise with healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care
Maintain clear documentation and uphold safeguarding practices
Promote choice, independence, and dignity in all aspects of care
What We're Looking For:
NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (essential)
NVQ Level 3 (or willingness to achieve it)
Experience supporting older adults in a care setting
Leadership skills and experience running a shift
Medication administration training and confidence in safe practice
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Up-to-date Manual Handling and First Aid training
A calm, patient, and practical approach
