About the role:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant's to work for a leading care provider in the local area. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. You will be responsible for supervising staff, care plans, and ensuring that the needs of residents are met with dignity and respect. Your leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in creating a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Duties
* Supervise and support care staff in their daily responsibilities.
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and mobility.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their conditions.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure a high standard of care.
* Drive engagement activities to promote the well-being of residents within the care home.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe environment.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Requirements
* Administration Awareness Certificate
* Experience in administering medication
* Previous experience in senior care
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
* A compassionate approach to caring for elderly individuals.
* Proficiency in IT systems related to care documentation is desirable.
