* Basic Pay: Up to £15 p/h + £60 per sleep + bonuses
* Overall package: up to £34,640 p/a (based on 8 sleep-ins per month) + bonuses on top
* Enhanced Overtime: +£4 per hour!

* Shift pattern: 7:00-22:30, 1 on 2 off, full-time, 160 hours per month.
Who will you be working for?
This organisation is well-established within the Residential Childcare sector with 8 years of operational experience under their belt. They currently have two “Good” rated children’s homes in the Sandwell area and another two homes waiting to be staffed. They have an incredible senior management team at the helm of the company with a combined 40 years’ experience within Residential Childcare, plus an internal psychologist who embeds their love-led therapeutic PACE/DDP style approach.
This position would be to join a “Good in all areas” rated 3 Bedded EBD home in Willenhall. Their current two young people are very settled, having been in placement for a while. One young person has transitioned back into mainstream education, and the other young person successfully sat their GCSEs this year. The company are currently identifying their future Deputy and Registered Managers in-house and have created a Management Development Programme for Seniors to be enrolled onto, which includes the Level 5 in Leadership and Management, in-house specialist trainings, and more!

* Basic pay: £14-15 p/h (under review), depending on experience and qualifications, plus £60 per sleep-in

What Will The Role Entail?
As a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will be the backbone of the staff team whilst on shift. You will pull from your experience working in children’s homes to manage and lead your passionate team to ensure smooth operation of the home and second-to-none delivery of care for young people.
The Successful Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker Candidate Will Excel At:
* Communicating effectively with young people, your colleagues, families, and external professionals. Shift-leading, problem-solving, and being calm under pressure is vital for a Senior.
* Key-working with young people, considering their thoughts, wishes, and feelings, promoting life skills and independence, encouraging them to engage in education, activities, and hobbies. Most importantly, readying them for adult life when they leave care.
* Developing and reviewing Ofsted required paperwork such as care plans, behaviour support plans, and risk assessments, to name a few.
* Following Ofsted’s regulations related to Quality Standards and understanding safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Understanding the operations of the home regarding Health and Safety, medication administration, cleanliness and finances.
Requirements for the Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker role:
* 2+ years’ experience working specifically within a children’s home environment
* Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Full UK Manual Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
* Flexibility to carry out the shift pattern described at the top of the advert, including sleep-ins
* A genuine passion for supporting the well-being and healthy development of young people
