Join this recently rated “Good” family-run independent Children’s home as a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker! * Job Title: Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker * Home Type: "Good" 4 Bedded EBD home – therapeutic PACE approach * Location: Coventry, CV7 * Salary: Up to £15.50 p/h, plus £50 per sleep-in (every shift) * Annual Bonus: A total of up to £1534.50 paid out quarterly (£384 every three months) * Overall package: £36,145.50 - £38,224.50 p/a (based on 10 sleeps + bonus) * Private Family Healthcare via Vitality & access free counselling * Enrol onto the Level 5 in Leadership and Management via their new ‘Deputy Manager Development Program’ * Shift pattern: 9:30-23:00 on a 1 on 2 off rolling three-week rota Who will you be working for? Join this recently inspected “Good in all areas” 4 Bedded EBD Children’s home in Exhall, Coventry (CV7). This is a small, family-run provider of residential childcare with, at present, one children’s home and plans for a second in the future. This home is a very spacious with a lovely garden, which is already full of life this summer with barbecues and memories being created every day! They also have a home-gym accessible to young people and staff. The home has been operational for over three years and currently supports two children (13 & 15) who are both settled and in full-time education and are currently looking to bolster their staffing team in order to take on two more wonderful young people. They are currently looking for qualified and ambitious individuals that want to grow and develop under their incredibly experienced management team who have 20+ years of experience within management of children’s homes under their belts. What Will The Role Entail? As a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will be the backbone of the staff team whilst on shift. You will pull from your experience working in children’s homes to manage and lead your passionate team to ensure smooth operation of the home and second-to-none delivery of care for young people. The Successful Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker Candidate Will Excel At: * Communicating effectively with young people, your colleagues, families, and external professionals. Shift-leading, problem-solving, and being calm under pressure is vital for a Senior. * Key-working with young people, considering their thoughts, wishes, and feelings, promoting life skills and independence, encouraging them to engage in education, activities, and hobbies. Most importantly, readying them for adult life when they leave care. * Developing and reviewing Ofsted required paperwork such as care plans, behaviour support plans, and risk assessments, to name a few. * Following Ofsted’s regulations related to Quality Standards and understanding safeguarding policies and procedures. * Understanding the operations of the home regarding Health and Safety, medication administration, cleanliness and finances.
