Senior Highways & Civil Engineering Roles – Permanent | Hampshire

Ceto Talent is supporting a well‑established civil engineering consultancy in Hampshire with the recruitment of two senior permanent hires as part of continued growth across highways and drainage disciplines. These roles suit experienced consultants operating at Principal or Associate level, or strong Senior Engineers ready to step up.

Role 1: Associate – Highways Engineering (Team Lead)

This position is a leadership role within the highways team, combining hands‑on highways design delivery with team leadership and client engagement.

About You

  * Extensive experience delivering highways design projects within a consultancy environment

  * Strong technical background in highways infrastructure, particularly development‑led schemes

  * Proven experience delivering and overseeing S278 and S38 works

  * Demonstrable experience leading, mentoring, or supporting engineers and technicians

  * Strong working knowledge of UK highways standards and approval processes

  * Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status, or working towards professional registration

Role 2: Principal Civil Engineer (Drainage & Highways)

This role focuses on drainage‑led civil engineering delivery, providing senior technical input across drainage and highways infrastructure projects.

About You

  * Extensive consultancy experience delivering drainage‑led civil engineering schemes, including SuDS

  * Strong background in surface water and foul drainage design for development projects

  * Confident use of drainage software such as InfoDrainage, MicroDrainage, or Causeway Flow

  * Experience delivering highways elements alongside drainage packages

  * Proven ability to review technical outputs and support junior engineers

  * Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status, or working towards professional registration
