Senior Civil Engineer
The Opportunity
A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineering professional to join an established civil / infrastructure design team. You'll be given the chance to lead projects with values up to £100m+, mentor junior colleagues, and deliver high‑quality designs across a variety of sectors including healthcare, commercial, industrial, residential and education.
You will be part of a technical team of over 30 engineers and technicians, working out of Liverpool, with responsibility for everything from detailed design through to approvals and construction delivery.
What We Are Looking For
4-7 years' consultancy experience in civil engineering, and can bring experience or capability in most of the following:
Essential Requirements:
Leading multiple projects: from concept through to construction
Carrying out drainage strategies as part of planning applications
Experience with Section 278 highway works (both minor & major)
Proficient in AutoCAD (or equivalent)
Understanding of technical approval processes such as S278, S104, S38 etc.
Good stakeholder liaison and engagement skills
Demonstrable commitment to career development (Chartered status or pathway to chartership)
Desirable Skills:
Experience in Flood Risk Assessments
Use of Civil 3D software
Hydraulic design software (for example, Causeway Flow)
Residential housing estate layout and design
