Senior Civil Engineer - Leading UK Engineering Consultancy Location: Liverpool (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits + Career Development Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking for your next career move? We're working with a highly respected, employee-owned civil and structural engineering consultancy with over 60 years of success delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions across the UK. This forward-thinking consultancy takes pride in creating a positive impact on communities and the built environment, and they're now looking to grow their Civils team in Liverpool with a talented Engineer or Technician who's ready to take the next step. The Role This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative team of over 30 professionals working on a diverse range of projects across the healthcare, commercial, industrial, residential, and education sectors, with project values reaching £100m+. You'll play a key role in leading and delivering civil engineering designs, mentoring junior staff, and supporting technical excellence across multiple projects from early-stage concepts through to construction. Typical duties include: Leading design and coordination for infrastructure, drainage, highways, and flood risk projects Preparing and managing planning applications and technical reports Producing high-quality design work using AutoCAD and Civil 3D (training available) Liaising with local authorities, clients, and multidisciplinary teams Managing S278, S104, and S38 approvals and design processesAbout You We're looking for someone with: 4-7 years' experience in a civil engineering consultancy environment A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical qualifications (HNC/HND) Strong design experience in areas such as highways, drainage, or flood risk Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D or Causeway Flow experience beneficial Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Chartered or working towards Chartership (ICE / CIHT)Desirable experience: Flood Risk Assessments Residential or masterplanning projects Hydraulic design softwareWhat's on Offer Competitive salary based on experience Generous benefits package, including bonus and employee ownership rewards Hybrid and flexible working options Accredited Investors in People - Platinum employer (top 1% of UK firms) Award-winning training and development programmes Unique staff perks, including access to company holiday lodges and wellbeing initiatives If interested in this position, but would like to find out more before formally applying please contact Taylor Smith at Calibre Search Manchester.
