Are you a commercially minded professional with midstream or upstream experience in the UKCS?
Imperial Recruitment is working on behalf of a prominent energy infrastructure operator to recruit a Senior Commercial Advisor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic commercial team supporting the strategic and operational management of midstream assets and high-value contracts.
Role Overview:
You’ll be a key member of the Commercial team, providing expert advice, contract oversight, and commercial operations management. Your focus will be on ensuring that business practices meet industry standards and contractual obligations, while delivering accurate reporting and driving commercial value.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and support commercial operations across a portfolio of complex midstream contracts
* Provide expert advice on third-party access (TPAs), terminal agreements (TAs), and operational interfaces
* Lead on integration, administration, and enforcement of commercial contracts
* Liaise with key stakeholders and external partners (e.g. Gassco/Vesterled)
* Support the negotiation and execution of new commercial agreements
* Ensure accurate reporting, invoicing, and contract compliance
* Collaborate across technical, operational, and legal teams to ensure business alignment
* Contribute to the resolution of disputes and commercial risk assessments
* Participate in on-call commercial operations (CELO team rotation)
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree in finance, engineering, law, or business (or equivalent experience)
* Experience in midstream or upstream energy, preferably UKCS
* Strong grasp of oil & gas commercial agreements and commercial risk
* Highly numerate with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Proven ability to translate complex commercial terms into actionable plans
* Effective communicator with cross-functional team collaboration experience
* Organised, proactive, and results-driven with strong business acumen
* Understanding of UKCS codes of practice and infrastructure standards
