The Client

Role Purpose
Your new organisation is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor with project management skills to join our Property Services team. The successful candidate will:
Survey and deliver capital projects across the corporate property portfolio.
Provide general surveying services to support the management of our commercial investment properties.
Contribute to the effective management of assets, ensuring compliance, sustainability, and value for money.Key Responsibilities
Lead on the delivery of complex capital projects from inception to completion.
Undertake building surveys, feasibility studies, and condition assessments.
Prepare specifications, tender documents, and reports.
Manage contractors and consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required standards.
Provide professional advice on property matters to colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
Support the businesses wider objectives around housing delivery, sustainability, and carbon reduction.Essential Skills & Experience
Formal qualification in building surveying or a related discipline.
Proven track record of delivering complex capital projects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to negotiate and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
Self‑motivated, adaptable, and flexible in approach.
Excellent report writing and presentation skills.Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience working within local government or the public sector.
Knowledge of sustainability standards and carbon reduction in construction.
Familiarity with managing commercial investment properties.Salary & Benefits
