Senior Compliance Engineer | Colchester Area | Up to £88,000 + Benefits
6-Month Rolling Contract

Are you an experienced Group Senior Compliance Engineer looking for your next contract opportunity? Do you have a strong understanding of electrical safety standards, product certification and regulatory compliance?

We're recruiting on behalf of an established, technology-led electronics engineering manufacturer based in the Colchester area. Due to an ongoing programme of product compliance and certification projects, they are looking to appoint a Group Senior Compliance Engineer on a 6-month rolling contract.

The Role

As the Group Senior Compliance Engineer, you'll work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure products continue to meet the latest UK, European and international compliance standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assessing products against EN (phone number removed)
Producing compliance test plans based on assessment findings
Compiling and maintaining Technical Construction Files (TCFs)
Liaising with external certification bodies to obtain product approvals
Supporting compliance assessments to EN (phone number removed) where required
Reviewing internally used machinery against EN (phone number removed)
Advising engineering teams on corrective actions for non-compliances
Producing professional technical reports and compliance documentation 

About You

To be successful as a Group Senior Compliance Engineer, you'll ideally have:

A degree in Engineering or a related discipline
Experience assessing products to EN (phone number removed)
Previous experience compiling Technical Construction Files
Knowledge of CE/UKCA legislation and product compliance
Experience working with external certification or test houses (NRTL experience would be advantageous)
Knowledge of EN (phone number removed) and/or EN (phone number removed) would be beneficial
Excellent report writing skills with a keen eye for detail
The ability to identify compliance issues and recommend practical engineering solutions
