Senior Construction Manager - Data Centre Infrastructure

Location: Northumberland 

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead the overall construction delivery of a major data centre infrastructure project. The role will oversee site teams, subcontractors, programme, safety, quality and coordination across multiple work packages.

Key Responsibilities

Lead construction delivery across designated project areas and work packages.
Manage and coordinate Site Managers, engineers, subcontractors and specialist contractors.
Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to specification.
Coordinate civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical interfaces.
Monitor programme performance and implement recovery plans where required.
Lead construction planning, sequencing and short-term look-ahead programmes.
Manage subcontractor performance, productivity and site coordination.
Ensure RAMS, permits, inspections and quality requirements are fully implemented.
Identify and resolve technical, programme and construction issues.
Liaise with the Project Manager, client, consultants, commercial and engineering teams.
Support testing, commissioning, handover and project close-out.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior Construction Manager on large-scale construction projects.
Strong experience managing complex construction packages and multiple subcontractors.
Data centre, mission-critical, infrastructure or other technically complex project experience highly desirable.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, programme and project delivery.
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Strong health & safety and quality focus.
Relevant construction/site management qualifications.
SMSTS and CSCS or equivalent
