The Role
Conker Communications is looking for a talented content creation and copywriting executive, with a minimum of two years’ agency experience. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a creative, fast-paced team and work across a variety of B2B and B2C clients. Senior Content and Copy Executive - Responsibilities
We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of content-led projects, and contribute creatively to campaign planning and execution. You’ll be confident writing across a variety of formats and channels, and keen to develop your strategic thinking as you grow.
* Develop and deliver engaging content across digital and traditional platforms
* Write and edit high-quality copy for websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, press releases, digital adverts, brochures, flyers, print ads and more
* Collaborate with designers and digital teams to bring content to life visually and interactively
* Take an active role across multiple client accounts, taking charge of content calendars, ensuring deadlines are met whilst delivering the highest quality content.
* Support SEO content creation and optimisation, working closely with digital specialists
* Contribute to creative campaign development, including brainstorming and concepting
* Assist in planning and executing email marketing campaigns using platforms like MailChimp, Pardot and Hubspot
* Monitor content performance using analytics tools, drawing insights to inform future content
* Prepare for and follow up on client meetings, contributing ideas and presenting content plans
* Maintain accurate records of work in progress using task management software
You’ll be a proactive team player, ready to get stuck in and take initiative. This role offers a wide range of opportunities to sharpen your copywriting and content marketing skills.
Key Skills and Qualities of a Senior Content & Copy Account Executive
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a marketing agency, with a strong focus on content and copywriting
* Excellent writing skills – confident across long-form, short-form, and persuasive copy
* Strong academic background: A-levels and a 2:1 degree from a top-tier university
* Post-graduate marketing or journalism qualifications are a bonus
* Experience managing social media content and tone of voice across platforms
* Creative mindset with the ability to develop content ideas and brief designers
* Comfortable using analytics tools to inform content angles and assess performance
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* High level of attention to detail with strong proofreading skills
* Commercial awareness and understanding of how content drives business goals
* Self-motivated, tenacious, and proactive – ready to deliver hardworking, creative campaigns
