Exciting Opportunity: Senior Contracts Engineer Sought for Renewable Energy Project in Poland
Are you a seasoned Contracts Engineer with a passion for the renewable energy sector? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! My client is seeking a talented Senior Contracts Engineer to join their dynamic team on site in Poland, working on an exciting CCGT project.
About the Role
As the Senior Contracts Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the construction team, responsible for drafting, negotiating, and administering contracts to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and maximise commercial benefits throughout the project life-cycle. Your key duties will include:
Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts related to CCGT projects, including EPC contracts, PPAs, O&M agreements, and supplier/vendor contracts.
Ensuring contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements in the energy sector, in cooperation with the legal team.
Supporting the project management team in managing contract execution, amendments, and close-out processes.
Identifying and mitigating contractual risks to prevent disputes and financial losses.
Serving as the key point of contact for contractual matters, participating in negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and clients.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this Senior Contracts Engineer role, you will need:
A degree in Engineering or a related field
5+ years of professional experience in the construction/energy sector on EPC large-scale construction projects
Excellent working knowledge of standard contractual documents, such as FIDIC, NEC, and MF-1
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively
A strategic mindset, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on risk mitigation
Proficiency in English, with knowledge of Polish being beneficial
Full Polish working rights
