Job Description

Core Responsibilities Commercial Governance & Risk Contractual Oversight: Direct the commercial management of M&E projects, ensuring all legal and financial risks are identified and mitigated. Negotiation: Lead the review and finalisation of contract terms to secure optimal commercial outcomes for the business. Compliance: Maintain rigorous adherence to all contractual duties, internal standards, and client specifications. Issue Resolution: Manage the end-to-back process for claims, variations, and disputes while providing transparent commercial reporting.Strategic Project Delivery Financial Performance: Monitor budgets and cost forecasting across various work packages to ensure every project remains profitable. Resource Management: Supervise procurement activities and subcontractor engagement to ensure a high-performing supply chain. Operational Alignment: Partner with Engineering and Project Management teams to drive schedules and implement corrective actions when necessary.Leadership & Relations Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the principal commercial contact for clients and consultants, fostering long-term professional partnerships. Mentorship: Guide and develop the Quantity Surveying and commercial teams, promoting best practices in cost control and governance. Growth: Contribute to the continuous improvement of company standards to support regional expansion.Candidate Profile Experience: A minimum of 10 years in commercial or contract management within the MEP or broader construction industry. Sector Knowledge: Specific expertise in M&E contracting is required, with a preference for candidates who have managed data centre or complex technical projects. Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive understanding of international contractual frameworks, such as FIDIC or NEC. Education: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction Management is highly preferred. Skills: You must possess elite negotiation abilities and the capacity to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
