Senior Cost Manager
Dublin
€75-90k + package
This very well known multi-disciplinary professional services consultancy is looking to add a Senior Cost Manager to its Dublin based team.
In order to be consider for this fantastic opportunity, applicants should meet the majority of the following criteria -
- Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management
- Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution
- Understanding a variety of project types/sizes/sectors but preferably including Residential and Commercial
- Understanding of RIAI and GCCC standard forms of contract
- Experience of preparing bid submissions
- Prior line-management experience or mentoring
- Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on procurement, cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation
- Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
- Client facing/stakeholder management experience
The successful candidate will work within a wider team, leading and delivering in all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying from project inception to completion. You will work with an Associate or Director to successfully manage and deliver a number of projects, typically ranging in value from €1m - €50m+.
Duties will include -
- Feasibility estimates
- Procurement advice
- Ensuring deliverables are produced to high standards and issued on time
- Cost planning and Cash-flow forecasting
- Value and risk management
- Post contract management
- Fee generation
- Supporting and developing team members
- Supports senior staff in ways to make projects more efficient. Seeks ways to improve accuracy and efficiency of tasks
- Client engagement / Maintain client relationships
