About the Role:
This role sits within a national drainage and surface water management team, working across major projects with water companies, local authorities, highways and rail authorities, and developers. You will contribute to the design and delivery of innovative drainage and SuDS solutions while helping to shape digital processes that enhance engineering outcomes.
You will also work closely with technical experts, support the development of junior engineers, and may progress into a regional point of contact for Surface Water Management and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).

Key Responsibilities:
Produce drainage infrastructure design packages.
Support drainage engineers in developing multi-disciplinary design solutions.
Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and environmental requirements.
Manage projects and design activities, delivering to time and budget.
Produce and deliver technical presentations showcasing SuDS expertise.
Prepare technical and financial proposals for project opportunities.
Supervise and support junior engineers.
Coordinate with other disciplines and site teams.
What Our Client is Looking For:
Essential:
Chartered status (ICE or CIWEM).
Experience in drainage design including SuDS.
Proficient with AutoCAD and hydraulic modelling software (MicroDrainage and/or Civils 3D preferred).
Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
Proven project coordination and delivery experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Curiosity for innovative, sustainable and cost-effective solutions.Desirable:
Experience in a Design & Build environment.
Experience on multi-disciplinary project teams.
Commercial awareness.
Ability to develop and motivate others.
Track record of building client relationships.
Awareness of BIM and digital design processes.
