Job Description
Do you have proven experience in a detailed EC&I design environment?
Are you confident using CAD tools to produce and review high-quality engineering drawings?
Can you provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers as part of a multi-disciplinary team?
The Opportunity
As a Senior Electrical Controls and Instrumentation (EC&I) Designer, you’ll play a crucial role in developing design solutions and ensuring high-quality outputs within agreed timeframes and budgets.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Contribute to the preparation and production of drawings to the required quality standards.
Promote effective collaboration across design and other functional teams.
Allocate discipline tasks within your team and check outputs to ensure compliance.
Advise on appropriate methods, tools, and technical approaches for tasks.
Assist in resolving technical queries and developing discipline-specific solutions.
Act as design lead when required, ensuring delivery against scope and schedule
Experience Required
Demonstrated experience in a detailed design environment.
Strong knowledge and practical use of CAD tools.
Proven track record of working within multi-discipline engineering teams.
Ability to provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship.
Qualifications
HNC / HND (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject.
Membership of a professional institute (preferred, not essential).
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
