Job Description
Do you have proven experience delivering EC&I engineering in highly regulated industries such as nuclear, defence, or energy?
Are you confident working across all stages of project delivery, from design through to implementation and testing?
Can you lead technically while navigating industry standards, safety regulations, and multidisciplinary coordination?
The Opportunity We’re looking for a Senior EC&I Engineer to support a long-term project based in Warrington. This role will be part of a design team, responsible for delivering high-quality electrical, control and instrumentation design and support across a complex engineering environment.
The Role Contract Duration: 12 months+
Security Clearance: Ideally SC cleared, but BPSS is acceptable to start
You will have the following experience and qualifications
Demonstrable experience as a Senior EC&I Engineer within a regulated industry (e.g. nuclear, defence, energy, utilities)
Strong background in project delivery, ideally within complex safety or compliance-led environments
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary design team
Experience completing unit protection setting calculations
Knowledge of 11kV and 400V protection and control schemes
Proficiency in CAD and electrical design software, such as:
Trimble Pro-Design
Trimble Protect
ETAP
ERACs
Experience in substation design
Awareness of industry-standard design processes and documentation requirements
