Role Overview
A leading engineering services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to support the delivery of multidisciplinary projects across a range of industrial sectors. This position offers the opportunity to lead technical workstreams, contribute to project strategy, and mentor junior engineers within a collaborative and safety-focused environment. Due to the nature of the work and associated security requirements, this role is only open to British nationals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead EC&I design and engineering activities across multiple concurrent projects
Produce and review technical documentation including specifications, drawings, and functional design descriptions
Conduct engineering calculations, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions
Provide technical input during procurement, installation, and commissioning phases
Ensure all work adheres to health, safety, and environmental standards
Support the development of junior engineers through coaching and technical guidanceCandidate Profile
Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Control Systems, or a related discipline
Extensive experience in EC&I engineering within industrial or infrastructure environments
Strong working knowledge of applicable standards (e.g. IEC, BS, ATEX) and safety systems
Proficient in engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, and PLC programming platforms
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership is advantageous
Must be a British national to meet security clearance requirementsBenefits
