Job Description
Senior Ecologist - Infrastructure | Birmingham
We're hiring a Senior Ecologist to support ecological mitigation and monitoring across a major infrastructure programme in the West Midlands. This is a site-based role in Birmingham, ideal for someone with strong project management skills and deep ecological expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor species and habitat mitigation
Drive adaptive management to ensure favourable conservation outcomes
Liaise with stakeholders including Natural England on licensing and compliance
What We're Looking For:
Degree/Master's in Ecology or related field
Protected species licence holder
Strong ECOW experience on large infrastructure/highways projects
Excellent understanding of UK ecological legislation
Proficient in MS Office and GIS
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
