Job Description

Our award winning client is a leading firm of MEP Consulting Engineers, providing innovative and sustainable building services designs across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, and leisure amongst others. With a particularly strong national reputation for technical excellence and collaborative working specifically in health care, the business is seasoned in delivering complex and high-profile projects for NHS and private healthcare providers throughout the UK. The Harrogate office has long been a flagship location, with a talented team providing a first class client facing service. Due to a retiring long term and valued member of the team, the company are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join the office and take over key duties. The successful candidate will play a leading role in the design, delivery, and coordination of electrical building services for a variety of live schemes, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality, efficient, and sustainable solutions. Whilst a Senior Engineer would offer a direct like for like replacement, applications would also be welcome from strong Intermediate level Electrical Engineers looking to grow and take on additional responsibilities. Key Responsibilities * Develop electrical building services designs from concept through to construction stages. * Produce drawings, specifications, calculations, and design documentation in accordance with current standards and regulations. * Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure fully coordinated design solutions. * Undertake site surveys, inspections, and attend design and progress meetings as required. * Support the development of junior engineers and technicians within the team. * Contribute to project planning, cost control, and quality management processes. * Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and ensure project deliverables meet expectations. Skills & Experience Essential: * Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering. * Proven experience in the design of electrical building services systems. * Experience working on healthcare or similarly complex, highly serviced buildings. * Proficiency in design software such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux, and AutoCAD (Revit MEP experience advantageous). * Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills. Desirable * Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership (CEng) with the IET or CIBSE. * Experience with sustainable and low-carbon electrical design. * Familiarity with BIM Level 2 processes. * Experience delivering health care projects With 80 years experience, multiple awards and continuous investment in their staff, this much celebrated MEP specialist offers fantastic career pathways for Engineers at all levels
