FREELANCE - OUTSIDE IR35 - REMOTE WORKING AVAILABLE
This engineering consultancy are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer on a contract basis for their Data Centre projects.
THE COMPANY
- An Australian engineering consultancy with offices in Central London
- Specialising in mission critical projects
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
* The Senior Electrical Design Engineer’s day to day will involve decision making on project progress and direct liaison/providing advice to client.
* The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will represent the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors’ teams.
* The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will carry out engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet required industry and legal standards.
* The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be mentoring junior staff and team members whilst working alongside Principal and Associate Engineers.
* Validation, checking of designs and specifications.
* Managing and forecasting fee spend ensuring that work is kept to budget.
* The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is to develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND OF THE SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
* The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is to have Data Centre experience
* The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction industry.
* The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be competent in specification design/drawing for several building types.
* The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be capable of presenting engineering concepts to clients and other project stakeholders.
* The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will have a strong understanding of industry design guides.
* Ability to use Amtech, Dialux and Revit
* Ability to liaise & coordinate with the other services disciplines.
