Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Cheshire
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary: £60,000–£65,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance

Key Responsibilities
* Delivering accurate, efficient E&I designs in line with BS7671 (18th Edition) and client specifications.
* Producing detailed design documents including:
* 2D/3D layouts, containment diagrams, cable calculations
* Loop diagrams, hazardous area designs & intrinsically safe calculations
* Network and communication schematics
* Conducting site surveys and providing construction-phase support.
* Collaborating across disciplines—Mechanical, Process, HVAC, Civil—to ensure cohesive designs.
* Driving quality, safety, and innovation in everything you do
What We’re Looking For
* HNC or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
* Experience delivering electrical installation designs in the water or utilities sector.
* Strong working knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
* Familiarity with CDM 2015 regulations and acting as a “Designer” under its framework.
* Confidence working with:
* AutoCAD LT, Relux/Dialux, Trimble (Amtech) Pro Design
* Microsoft Office Suite
* Aveva, Navisworks, Revit (desirable)
* Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and E&I compliance.
