Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Harold Wood, Romford
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 (DOE)
Full-Time | Office-Based with Hybrid Flexibility Post-Probation
A well-established engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Harold Wood, Romford. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of diverse and challenging projects across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead electrical design work across RIBA Stages 0–7
Collaborate with an internal CAD team while maintaining full engineering responsibility
Deliver high-quality solutions across a range of sectors including local authority, commercial, education, listed buildings, and rail (current workload is rail-heavy)
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced across all RIBA stages
Able to commute easily to Harold Wood
Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team
Rail sector experience is a strong advantage, though not essential
Interview Process:
Typically one stage, with potential for a second if needed
In-person interviews preferred
Candidates are encouraged to bring a sample of previous design work for discussion
Working Hours & Flexibility:
Core hours: 10am–4pm
Standard working pattern is 5 days in office
After probation, 2 days per week working from home
Overtime paid at standard rate
