Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services / MEP
£50k to £65k
Hertfordshire – Flexible and hybrid arrangements available

Senior Electrical Design engineer / MEP / Building Services/ Electrical Design Engineer
This senior electrical design engineer role is to join a large building services design consultancy, they undertake award winning projects for the public and private sector, using the latest digital technologies and modern methods of construction. All works are carried out in such a way to ensure they deliver projects in a lean, green and efficient way.
It’s a friendly team, offering flexibility, and as a principal or senior electrical design engineer you will have a large amount of autonomy and freedom in running your projects.
Responsibilities
* Undertaking mechanical services designs from various RIBA/BSRIA Stages
* Carry out feasibility studies and technical audits,
* Provide designs for heating, cooling, ventilation, air conditioning and BMS solutions.
* Liaising with mechanical and public health design teams, architects, structural engineers architectural technologists and other construction professionals.
* Liaise with site construction teams on day to day running of a project.
* Supporting professional development of junior engineers.
* Promoting sustainability and energy efficiency
* Travel to visit projects
Experience & Skills
* Significant demonstrable experience as an electrical design engineer in building services
* Minimum relevant qualification to HNC, HND level
* Chartered or working towards chartership would be beneficial
* Knowledge of Amtech, Dialux and Relux lighting software
* Knowledge of British regulations and design standards
* Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment or as an individualBefore You Apply
