Senior Electrical Design Engineer Building Services
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a highly respected building services consultancy working across the UK. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, design leadership, and a passion for delivering innovative and sustainable electrical building services solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical design projects across a variety of sectors, including commercial, healthcare, education, and mixed-use developments.
Produce detailed designs for LV distribution, lighting, small power, fire alarm, and security systems.
Coordinate closely with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams using Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM tools.
Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, BS standards, and CIBSE guidelines.
Support junior engineers through mentoring and technical guidance.
Attend design and client meetings, contributing to project strategy and delivery.
About You
Degree-qualified in Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 7-10 years experience in electrical design within a building services consultancy environment.
Chartered or working towards Chartership (IET/CIBSE).
Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Amtech, DIALux, and associated software.
