Senior Electrical Engineer | Milan – Data Centre Project
€80,000 - €85,000 + accommodation + rotation + travel + €1,000 net living allowance
Location: Milan, Italy
We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a major data centre delivery team on a long-term European project based in Milan. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading international engineering contractor delivering complex mission-critical projects across Europe.
You’ll play a key role in design coordination, project delivery, installation review, and commissioning, ensuring all electrical systems are executed to the highest technical and safety standards.

Responsibilities
* Oversee the electrical engineering scope from design through commissioning.
* Conduct electrical design reviews, identify design gaps, and ensure compliance with all specifications.
* Coordinate technical submittals, procurement tracking, and equipment verification.
* Work closely with the BIM, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
* Manage vendor interfaces and supervise commissioning activities for electrical systems.
* Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and project staff.
* Support client handover by ensuring systems meet all testing, validation, and documentation requirements.
* Collaborate across teams to ensure safe, timely, and quality delivery of all M&E works.
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
* Minimum 7+ years’ experience in electrical project delivery — ideally within data centres, pharma, or industrial projects.
* Experience with LV/MV systems, design coordination, Amtech, Dialux, and AutoCAD.
* Strong understanding of ETCI, BS7671, EN, and IEC standards.
* Proven track record managing electrical installations and commissioning processes.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
* EU Passport essential (no visa sponsorship)
