Job Description
We are recruiting for a Specialist Electrical Engineer – Modelling & Simulation to lead the assessment of simulated evidence for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving Systems (ADS) type approvals. You’ll work across virtual toolchains, auditing manufacturer processes, validating models, and ensuring regulatory compliance under UNECE regulations such as R157, R171, R152 and others.
You’ll assess the credibility of simulations by verifying assumptions, inputs, and outputs; performing uncertainty/sensitivity analyses; and benchmarking results against experimental or real-world data. This work ensures simulations are robust, reliable, and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities

Lead simulated evidence assessments for ADAS / ADS type approvals.
*
Audit manufacturer simulation processes and determine compliance.
*
Perform credibility assessments on simulation toolchains.
*
Support other type approval subjects using virtual assessments.
*
Develop, maintain, and apply internal guidelines for simulation assessments.
*
Mentor and line manage Modelling & Simulation engineers.
*
Deliver training on modelling, simulation, data validation, and analysis tools.
*
Collaborate with clients, principal engineers, and stakeholders to ensure effective type approval delivery.
The successful candidate will hold:

Level 6+ qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
*
Strong expertise in vehicle simulation and virtual toolchains.
*
Experience in simulation credibility assessments and model validation.
*
Knowledge of UNECE regulations for ADAS / ADS.
*
Proven mentoring/leadership skills.
*
Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas.
