Job Description
We're working with a leading engineering and utilities contractor to recruit a Senior Electrical Estimator to join their growing team based in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced estimator to play a key role in delivering accurate, competitive, and compliant tenders across a range of electrical infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and coordination of electrical estimates across transmission, distribution, renewable energy, and industrial projects.
Review electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to prepare detailed cost breakdowns.
Develop accurate material, equipment, and labour take-offs in line with project requirements.
Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive quotations and verify technical compliance.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop pricing strategies, risk assessments, and tender clarifications.
Contribute to bid reviews, value engineering exercises, and post-tender negotiations.
Maintain estimating databases, cost libraries, and supplier information to support ongoing tenders.
Support project handovers to ensure smooth transition from estimating to delivery.
Mentor junior estimators and promote continuous improvement in estimating processes.
About You
Degree or Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical estimating within the power, utilities, or construction sectors.
Strong technical understanding of LV, MV, and HV systems.
Proven experience in delivering estimates for electrical infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Excel and estimating software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and professional approach.
Commercially aware, detail-oriented, and driven to deliver high-quality work.
