Senior Electronics Design Engineer

Somerset - role is based on site, there’s potential hybrid working and flexible working patterns

38 hours a week with a lunchtime finish on a Friday!

Salary up to £55,000 (DOE) + up to £3,000 relocation allowance (if required)

What skills and experience will the Senior Electronic Design Engineer need?

Significant knowledge (degree or other appropriate qualification essential) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or other relevant discipline
Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrable technical knowledge in the following subject areas:

Embedded & power electronic design, schematic capture, simulation, actuators, motor control, Microprocessor, Analogue & digital design, PCB layout & simulation (experience using Altium Designer would be an advantage)
Experience in designing for compliance and relevant Standards (e.g., EMC, Safety etc.)
Experienced in consumer products, power electronics, portable devices, power tools etc.
Hands on testing & evaluation using a range of test equipment
Experience in design software: Solidworks or LTSpice would be an advantage

Demonstrable experience in a similar manufacturing business leading projects/teams, mentoring others, and shaping best practice across design and manufacturing
