Contract Senior Electronics Engineer (Electromechanical Products)
Contract Opportunity: A world leader in industrial safety systems is seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer for an immediate contract to lead a critical product development project. Join a global engineering team focused on delivering high-quality, safety-critical access and locking systems.
The Role:
As the lead engineer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle development of new electro-mechanical products. Key deliverables include:
* Leading the technical design and delivery of new electro-mechanical products.
* Developing comprehensive product and component specifications.
* Coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers to meet project deadlines.
* Reviewing and approving product designs, test plans, and recommending improvements.
* Ensuring all product designs and project work comply with relevant safety regulations and international standards.
Essential Requirements:
We are looking for a hands-on contractor who can take ownership and drive the project from day one.
* Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
* Extensive experience with electronics hardware, including both analogue (transistor, capacitor) and digital (FPGA, microcontroller) circuit design.
* Proven experience in full product lifecycle ("cradle to grave") development.
* Strong track record in the development of electro-mechanical products.
* Excellent communication skills, with experience in liaising with suppliers, third parties, and internal stakeholders.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with mechanical design and CAD packages.
