Senior Engineer – Customer Technical Support (Inkjet Systems) Location: Telford, Shropshire Salary: £48,562 – £55,847 (depending on experience) Job Type: Full-time, permanent Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon–Thu 08:15–17:00, Fri 08:15–12:15) About the Business Our client is a market leader in industrial inkjet technology, developing and supporting advanced printing solutions used across commercial, industrial, and textile sectors. The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineer – Customer Technical Support to join the technical services team at the company’s Telford site. This multi-disciplinary position is focused on providing technical support to customers using industrial inkjet printhead products across the EMEA region. The successful candidate will take ownership of customer issues from diagnosis to resolution, ensuring technical challenges are managed promptly and professionally, while supporting long-term customer relationships. Key Responsibilities * Act as the primary technical contact for EMEA customers using industrial inkjet systems * Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve product and system issues, escalating where necessary * Analyse, reproduce, and resolve technical faults during system commissioning and operation * Provide accurate technical feedback and reports, both in writing and verbally * Work closely with internal engineering teams to share insights and support product improvements * Conduct on-site investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions * Manage multiple projects and tasks effectively, ensuring service targets are met * Support trade shows, demonstrations, and customer training activities when required About You You will be a technically adept, customer-focused engineer with a background in industrial or scientific systems. You’ll have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication ability, and the confidence to engage directly with customers and colleagues at all levels. Essential: * Degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline * Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical support or engineering role * Strong diagnostic and analytical skills * Excellent communication and reporting ability * Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities Desirable: * Electrical or electronic bias * Experience with industrial inkjet or printing systems * Project management experience * Willingness to travel across the UK and EMEA as required What’s on Offer * Competitive salary: £48,562 – £55,847 * 37-hour working week, early Friday finish * 25 days’ holiday (251 hours per year) plus bank holidays * Twice-yearly bonuses * Private Medical Insurance * Income Protection & Executive Medical cover * Excellent professional development and training opportunities Location: Telford, Shropshire (occasional travel within EMEA) Eligibility: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be able to travel internationally when required
